i asked them to write what they did on friday:
response 1: "a spelling test and fought"
response 2: "don't remember"
response 3: "stapler"
i asked one student how it was and she proceeded to tell me that the sub was a "fat lady who walked funny like this ..." and imitated. it was all i could do not to laugh.
