not really. actually, very sad.

a 6th grade girl at our school is pregnant. she is due in january we think and she hasn't been to the doctor yet. she kept telling people that she is just fat. the principal put her hands all over her stomach and said, honey, you've got a baby in there.

someone made a home visit and said there is almost no food even in her house. she lives with her grandma who is apparently like 35.

we are also pretty much convinced that the baby belongs to this random friend of her grandma's - whose house she stays at sometimes, and apparently she cries when she talks about it - so the baby is probably *not* the 13 year old boy's she claims it is.

how odd to be confused about that, but more, how terribly depressing and sad and heartbreaking.
