... was what my students told me. The most advanced of them reads at a 3rd grade level ... but they were acting up, so I said, Alright, GREAT! I have these great 6th grade vocabulary workbooks that I have been dying to use with you all.
About 20 minutes (thankfully, a quiet 20 minutes) later, they called me over and asked if they could maybe wait until later in the year to do that work.
