sigh

ahhh today -

turned out we still had some standardized testing to do this morning. good thing, because i found one of my kids' test books in my room after school friday. oops.

but not good thing b/c they FLIPPED out with the testing. an all out rumble broke out with about 5 of my kids (including my cute little guy who does NOT usually fight - he started swinging and i knew it was over). and then one kid LOST it when they went to take him away - a 45 minute temper tantrum in the hall. seriously out of control.

HOWEVER it freaked them all out enough that they did work the REST OF THE DAY. it was amazing. i don't know if the activities happened to be particularly good or what, but it was great. and we ended up with TWO thing we'll be hanging on the wall (trees with similes about trees written in them. cute stuff) and bar graphs counting how many of each color bulletin boards we have in the classroom.

i love when the afternoons are good b/c then i come home feeling okay :)
