almost before the kids even got into the classroom, one of my kids punched another, for allegedly "stabbing" him with a pencil. no one saw that part, nor was there any mark from the pencil ...
but i *did* see when he hit the other kid (who happened to be my dracula friend who is generally fairly helpless in the face of a lot of bullying). he freaking wound up and socked him from behind in the back of the head/neck so hard that the kid literally had whiplash from his head moving.
it was bizarrely shocking to me to see that, i guess b/c usually the kids are actually fighting, not just one getting bullied.
poor thing. he just crumpled to the ground and sobbed.
